ACM Award recaps, Gwen and Blake NOT expecting a baby girl, and Carrie Underwood keeps adding to her fashion empire, here's your Nashville Minute for Monday, April 4th.


Jason Aldean taking home Entertainer of the Year was probably the biggest surprise of the evening, but some highlights from the night included Luke Bryan kicking off the ceremony with a performance of his brand new single "Huntin,' Fishin' and Lovin' Every Day." As Bryan was introducing Bentley to the stage to perform with him, his former co­host Blake Shelton stole Dierks' mic and performed in his place. Blake then stayed on-stage to perform his new single"Came Here to Forget."

­­Pop star Katy Perry presented Dolly Parton with the Tex Ritter Award for her TV film Coat of Many Colors.After a short video presentation, Dolly thanked everyone who made the film possible as well as the actors who brought it to life. Parton and Perry then took the stage to perform a medley of Dolly's hits including "Coat of Many Colors,"Jolene" and "9 to 5." During the special presentation and performance, Parton wore her "coat of many colors" – a shimmering sequenced jacket that was made to look like its namesake.

­­Before Darius Rucker and Martina McBride presented to award for Vocal Group of the Year; they took the stage to pay tribute to the late Joey Feek, who passed away earlier this year after a battle with cancer. Darius said, "Of all the different ways we can honor Joey, we think that what would mean the most to Joey and her family is if just one more time for all of us... all of her fans and everyone who loved her to give her a big round of applause." The crowd then rose to their feet and gave Joey and a long and enthusiastic ovation.

­­Garth Brooks presented the Album of the Year award to Chris Stapleton live via satellite from his show in Ottawa, Canada. As Stapleton took the stage to give his speech, he said, "Unbelievable, Garth Brooks just gave me an award." Chris also thanked his wife and everyone else who worked on the record.

It's NOT a girl! On Friday, Gwen Stefani posted a picture of a sonogram of a baby on her Instagram page along with the caption, "It's a girl." Many believed Gwen was pregnant but quickly remembered what day it was.

Finally, Carrie Underwood is launching a new line of swimwear as part of her Calia by Carrie Underwood brand of apparel. Underwood recently announced the launch of the swimwear line by posting a bikini­clad selfie on social media. The photo shows Carrie posing poolside as she rocks a sporty floral print bikini. The caption for the picture reads, "I'm so proud to be able to work with Dick's Sporting Goods to create a line of swimwear that makes me feel so good! Adorable and athletic...and covers everything I want to be covered!"
