School officials at a local elementary school are telling parents that kids weren't at risk after a bullet and casings were found in a classroom earlier this week.According to the Coloradoan, a teacher at Laurel Elementary School found the bullet in her fifth grade classroom and parents were quickly notified of the incident.

The letter stated that an investigation occurred, with backpacks and desks being search while talking to students in the school.

There was no gun found in any of the classrooms but casings were recovered by Fort Collins Police.

However, the situation is still being investigated by Fort Collins Police Services. They are asking the public that if anyone has information concerning the bullet and casings to please call the Laurel Elementary school resource officer at (970) 472-3871.
