Brian’s Grandsons Have a Blast at Susan’s Farm – Brian’s Blog [PICTURES]

Yesterday was a big day for my grandsons and I. We were invited out to Susan's farm, okay, we invited ourselves, but either way it was a great day. I was trying to think of something fun to do with the boys on my last day of vacation and a trip out to see Susan, Bob and the ponies was the perfect fix.

I wanted to just let them run the stink off of themselves and they sure did. When we got there the only thing they wanted to do was hang out and talk to Bob. Every time Zander walked up to Bob, Bob made him spell the word 'cat'. It was fun and actually worked. Zander can now spell 'cat' and did so all the way home. Thanks Bob. The boys love him. Bob had to go in the house to do some work and Zander said "is that boy going to come out and play again?" Too cute. I wonder when the last time Bob was referred to as 'that boy."

Susan had bananas and carrots out for the boys to feed to the animals. Zayden got a hold of them first and ate them. He was loving it. He even sat on the side of the barn and was caught getting his first taste of manure. I caught him right as he was pressing it to his lips. What kid hasn't wondered what manure tastes like? Susan even tricked the boys into learning how to shovel horse manure into a bucket. Zander is going to be a pro. He is ready to work on the farm.  A great time was had by all and I think we left Bob and Susan exhausted but the boys still had plenty of energy. It's great to have such great friends.
