What do you get when you take Michael Waddell from "Bone Collector" on the Outdoors Channel, singer/songwritters Rhett Akins and Dallas Davidson? You get one of the surprisingly tastiest batch of fun I have heard in awhile, "Micheal Waddell's Bone Collector: The Brotherhood Album".

Rhett had the big hit back in 95 with "That Ain't My Truck" and has written numerous recent hits including "Farmer's Daughter" by Rodney Atkins, "Gimme That Girl" by Joe Nichols "All About Tonight" by Blake Shelton and "All Over Me" by Josh Turner to name a few. Dallas Davidson wrote Trace Adkins "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk", Brooks and Dunn's "Put A Girl In It" and many more.

This collection is filled with great hunting and fishing songs with song hooks that should be on the end of a line. I am not the world's most avid outdoorsman, unless you consider playing Cabella's Dangerous Hunts 2011 or Sega Bass Fishing on my Wii system to be outdoor activities. I do keep the window open when I play so it feels like I am outside. I think that should count for something. I believe I may be the most accomplished indoor outdoorsman in the world. You should see my wall of virtual big game heads. I rule the video grasslands. Back to the music. Even if you know nothing about hunting or fishing, like me, you will love this cd. It opens with the incredibly infectious "My Baby Looks Good In Camouflage" and rolls right into the unforgettable "Weapons Of Bass Destruction" which was co-written by Luke Bryan. You will find yourself singing along with words you have never heard before unless you know bass bait. "Yella Acorns" tells the tale of what happens if you try less than legal ways of luring that big buck and get caught. It doesn't end well for our hunter in this one. You will get "Buck Fever", sit in the "Duck Blind" and do some necessary killing of a pest in the song "Hawgs" which is one of my favorites featuring a guest appearance by Colt Ford rapping about delicious pig meats. I guess this CD will not be big hit with vegetarians. My favorite cut is the stripped down ballad called "Granddaddy's Gun". A very touching ballad about that treasured family heirloom.

I had left the CD in the truck the other day and my wife even called me to ask what the CD was because she loved the song "Granddaddy's Gun". No matter if you pull your fish out of stream or a box of Gorton's in your grocers freezer, you will love this.
