Break Out the Pork,Today is Bacon Day…Kind of – Brian’s Blog

Today is International Bacon Day. Here is the U.S. we celebrate Bacon Day the Saturday before Labor Day but in other parts of the world it is today. I see no reason that bacon should have only have one day to be honored so let's celebrate this tasty treat today as well.

I have written a little poem.

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Bacon is kinda pink
And I really like it

Okay so it doesn't rhyme. Big deal! I love you bacon. I even love that weird little piece that ends up all goofy looking at the bottom of the package. I can tell you that I even got bacon themed Christmas gifts this year too.

I love bacon in so many ways but baked on a cookie sheet in the oven has to be the best. How about you? How do you prepare your tasty pork strips?
