Brand New With Barnes features new songs from well known artists and singers you've never heard of before. This, is your weekly recap in case you missed some.

  • Maddie and Tae - Girl In A Country Song

Maddie and Tae are hot on the country scene after meeting at a showcase through a vocal coach. Maddie is from Tx and Tae is from OK. Influenced by Shania Twain, Loretta Lynn and Lee Ann Womack, they just made the big move to Nashville in hopes of finding their American dream. Their debut radio single, "Girl In A Country Song," is a criticism of the "bro-country" trend of country songs pertaining to pickup trucks, drinking beer, and attractive women.

  • Canaan Smith - Love You Like That

Canaan Smith is another new artist trying to carve his way along the country road. You may also know him as a former contestant on "The Amazing Race." He got his start in Nashville after co-writing "Runaway" for Love and Theft in 2009. His first single released in 2012, "We Got Us," went to #44 after debuting at #53. The new single, "Love You Like That," will be released on July 21 and is currently at #58 on the charts.

  • Jamie O'Neal - Wide Awake

Jamie O'Neal hit the scene in 2000 with her first album, "Shiver." The album's first two singles, "There Is No Arizona," and "When I Think About Angels," both went #1 and then that was basically it for O'Neal with the exception of "Somebody's Hero" which went to #3 in 2005. Her new album, "Eternal," is all cover songs with the exception of "Wide Awake," which is the only original song on the new album.

  • The Cadillac Three - Party Like You

  • Maggie Rose - Girl In Your Truck Song

One thing Maggie Rose has with this new single, "Girl In Your Truck Song," and that is support from Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Randy Houser, Jana Kramer, Cole Swindell, and Chase Rice who all love the new single. No Colorado dates on her tour schedule so Overland Park, Kansas, is the closest place to catch her live this Summer.
