Blake Shelton vs. Carrie Underwood – The Showdown

It’s a country superstar Showdown today. Three-time champion Blake Shelton will face Carrie Underwood, after ‘Over’ made easy work of Rodney Atkins‘ ‘Just Wanna Rock N’ Roll’ on Wednesday. Shelton’s captivating ballad will need to get past the title track from Underwood’s new ‘Blown Away’ album to move one step away from Showdown Hall of Fame enshrinement. A winner will be decided after 10PM CT on Taste of Country Nights radio.
‘Blown Away’ sets the tone for a much more dark and moody album than Underwood fans are used to. The sweet ‘All-American Girl’ shows she’s capable of playing the villain, but in this song her actions seem justified. Fans are looking forward to the music video, which so far has only been teased.
Listen to clips of both Shelton and Underwood’s songs and vote here. You can vote once every hour online, so come back and vote often to be sure your artist wins. Also, hear the full versions tonight after 10PM CT on Taste of Country Nights, and vote again by calling (888) 678-9995. You can listen to the show online through any of the 34 radio stations that carry it. Voting will end tonight at 10:40PM CT.

If a song wins five days in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
