Times are tough. I know in my house we are broke as we ever have been and are always looking for affordable foods. We have cut back in every area possible and need to find ways to save a buck at every chance we can. I have found McDonald's to have the best value menu. I love the McDouble for a buck. Hard to beat that deal. When it comes to the grocery store there are values all over.

It is hard to beat a Totino's Pizza for value. You can usually find these for about a buck o nine. I will cook one up and fold into one big slice of happiness. Buying store brands helps a lot too. I have found that the $2 bag of store brand chips are just as tasty as the $5 bag of name brand chips. Stocking up on 49 cent pot pies is a nice idea too. A little pastry crust filled with a few cubes of meat, potatoes, 4 peas and 3 carrot chunks is a fine value. I buy the 10 for $10 cans of store brand veggies too. They are awesome and about half the price of the name brands. We all know of the greatest value of all...Ramen Noodles. You can get a case of those bad boys for under two bucks.

Money may be tight but you can still eat if you shop smart.
