President Obama was in Denver yesterday to show his support for the gun control measures recently passed in Colorado. Meanwhile, 16 county sheriffs, including Larimer County’s Justin Smith and John Cooke of Weld County have vowed not to enforce the new gun restrictions. Todd Harding and Brian Gary presented the Teacher Tuesday award to Mr. Kyle Fabatz yesterday morning. Mr Fabatz teaches Music at Wellington Middle School and was nominated by his student Sierra Wojtysiak. It was, by far the most emotional Teacher Tuesday presentation we have had in over a decade.

I honestly don't have the vocabulary to express how grateful I am to everyone who help make the the 15th annual 28 Hours of Hope a tremendous success. The finally tally isn't in yet, but we know it was over 76 thousand dollars when we left on Friday morning.

The Larimer County Department of Health has reported for the first time that a fox in Larimer County has been confirmed to have rabies. The fox had gotten into a fight with a pet dog in Berthoud.
