Charley Barnes

Born in Alamagordo, NM - 1963. I reside in Greeley and a single Dad of three awesome kids: My tribe consists of my daughter Taylor Anne -18, and two sons Mason William -16 and Cade Thomas -13. I have been with Townsquare Media, Inc. since 1998 starting with the Morning Show on TRI-102.5 for several years before taking on the afternoon show here at K99 which you can hear live or online between 3P and 7P weekdays.   I started in radio at KBZZ in La Junta CO at the tender age of 15 and have basically been doing it ever since. I have worked in Texas, Kentucky, Kansas, Indiana, Arizona, Montana and Alaska. Yes, I was in Alaska for about 6 years living in Juneau right out of High School and eventually moved to Fairbanks to attend the University of Alaska and working full-time radio at the same time and spending my summers living in Wasilla and working radio in Anchorage: “L.A. on Ice.” As far as hobbies go, I enjoy being on 2-wheels everyday of the year. I enjoy long road trips and camping off my bike, live music, long weekends with an open road and full tank of gas, friends, family and cool chilly cocktails on warm summer evenings! I love a good booming thunderstorm, lightning but hate slow drivers in the left lane, drivers who can't keep up with the speed limit, spinach and snow!

Congressman Rand Paul Comes Clean On The Floor Of Congress – A Must See [VIDEO]

Rand Paul recently became my hero for what he did in front of Congress. It doesn't matter if you wear red or blue, this is just downright American and one of the most honest acts you will ever see from a politician. If you have ever wanted to hear a politician tell the truth then this is your chance. Incredible!

Charley Presents Friday’s Edition Of ‘Vickie’s Corner’ – The Language of Tyranny [POLL]

The billboard controversy coming out of Greeley rages on and fuels more debate on what is right or wrong and the political correctness of it all. I have again asked a friend of mine to share her thoughts this week on the subject not only because I love how she writes and puts thoughts on paper but she always speaks from the heart, with conviction and purpose. This may be my favorite piece she's done; incredible.
