Died Aug. 24 in Bagram, Afghanistan, of unspecified causes.

Army Sgt. Louis Torres - Died August 22, 2012 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom. Age 23, of Oberlin, Ohio; assigned to 2nd Battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. Died Aug. 22, in San Antonio of wounds suffered Aug. 6 in Kandahar, Afghanistan, casued by an improvised explosive device.
