Alison Krauss & Union Station Station to Play Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest in Fort Collins
26-time Grammy Award winner Alison Krauss will be featured during Bohemian Nights at this year’s NewWestFest. On Saturday, August 11th, Alison Krauss & Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas will bring their 2012 “Paper Airplane” tour to Fort Collins at 8:30 p.m.
Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest features eight stages of entertainment, including six music stages, the Dance Showcase Stage and Kids’ World Performance Stage. Festival hours are Friday 5:00-10:00pm, Saturday 10:00am until 7:00pm with music concerts until 10:00pm & Sunday 10:00am to 7:00pm.
According to a press release from Fort Collins Downtown Business association:
The Bohemian Nights music program will showcase more than 90 new, emerging and established Colorado bands performing on six, continuously playing music stages. Colorado artists support national headliner shows while headliner artists enhance the 90+ Colorado band lineup. The weekend kicks off on Friday, August 10th at 5:00 pm with a spectacular and expanded Fort Collins Friday lineup featuring nine of Fort Collins’ premium bands playing on the Mountain Avenue, Library Park and Linden Street stages.
The other major headliners playing this year’s event include Michael Franti & Spearhead on Friday, August 10th and Gipsy Kings on Sunday, August 12th. All of the events are free of charge.
