Alabama Is Coming Back, Brian’s Top 5 Country Bands Of All Time

I was just reading this morning that Alabama, who many consider the greatest country band of all time, is getting back together to make an album and tour. This is great news. I have always loved Alabama and can't wait to hear new music from the boys. This got me thinking about what are my favorite country bands of all time. I know my list will differ greatly from yours. Keep in mind this is just my personal taste. It has nothing to do with success or record sales or hits. If the Eagles or Lynyrd Skynyrd were just starting out today they would be considered country but they cannot qualify for this or they would be my top 2. I love Restless Heart and Exile and Lady A too but they were also denied. Here are my top 5.

1. The Mavericks. I love this band so much and they are putting out a new album at the end of the month including this cool tune. Raul Malo may have the coolest voice ever.
