A New Greeley Ritual Includes Windex, Praying, and a Playground
I know, Greeley has a bad reputation among other Colorado natives. Sure, it does stink every now and then, and you are sure to get a "show" if you go to the Walmart on 23rd Ave., but for the most part Greeley isn't THAT bad! But they say it only takes one bad apple to spoil the pie... I think we may have found one of Greeley's rotten pieces of fruit here...
Each week the Greeley Tribune puts together a summary of some crime reports taken from the Greeley Police Department’s daily log and puts them in the newspaper. Usually you get the usual people calling about others parked in handicap spots, and parents fighting at little league baseball games, but this week we found a gem!
Tuesday, Oct. 1st, 10:43 a.m.: A caller near the Greeley Mall reported that a resident was “doing a ritual” on a playground and was spraying Windex and praying. The caller wanted officers to respond.
To me this leaves to very different options as to what may have been going on...
Option 1: Someone was making a little meth and didn't use all the window cleaner, so the best option while high was to use the Windex at the playground, rather than saving it to clean the windows like a non-meth user would do.
Option 2: The person is not a bad apple at all, and we are completely mistaken... They may just be Greek, like the people from My Big Fat Greek Wedding, and doing the community a favor by cleaning the playground.
