A Cow Shuts Down Eastbound I-70 in Jefferson County

Sometimes the interstate can be closed to an accident, weather, construction or something falling off of a vehicle... Then sometimes it gets shut down by an angry cow.

This is exactly what happened today in Jefferson County. The eastbound lanes of I-70 were shut down for about an hour and a half due to a grazing cow escaping and making her way on to the interstate. Deputies and animal control officers had to tackle the cow to get her loaded into a trailer. Talk about a crazy day!
