We are blessed to be able to have great country music sent our way each week, and in 2015 we saw many new artists that quickly rose their way to being a superstar. Cole Swindell, Brothers Osborne, and Cam are just a few that made us proud to be part of the format.

2016 doesn't look like it is going to be any different, as we've had the chance to listen to great new music from artists that are new to our airwaves.

Have you heard Maren Morris and "My Church" yet?

How about Chris Lane and "Fix"?

These are just two examples of artists who have splashed onto the scene and have a chance to jump into the fray of superstars before the year is up.

So who are K99's five choices for having the best chance of being superstars this year? Check out this list, and then let us know below on who you think has the best chance for a follow up blog later on!

    Chris Lane

Chris Lane has started his career on a brand new label (Big Loud Records) and released his debut single at the end of 2015. He is already getting tons of publicity across the country and everyone is noticing his performances and his music. Want to get "FIXED" on Chris Lane? I suggest you buy his music NOW so you see what he's all about before he takes off as a superstar!

    Clare Dunn

Clare Dunn is a Colorado native who started to make the rounds in country radio at the end of Summer, 2015. Her debut single "Move On" had a rock vibe to it and was relatable to both men and women. Her new single "Tuxedo" is being released to country radio in February and should be the song that propels her to the top of the crop!

    Jordan Rager

Jordan was our first "New from Nashville" of 2016 at the Boot Grill in Loveland and he put on an unbelievable performance. His lyrics show him as a true storyteller, and he knows how to captivate the crowd while he's on stage. Watch for his single with Jason Aldean coming out in February. It will put Jordan's name on the MAP!

    Kane Brown

Kane Brown has been a YouTube sensation, and listeners are clamoring to hear more from him in 2016. Guess what...you definitely will!

When you hear Kane performing his song "Used to Love You Sober", you hear true passion and emotion. At times, it's tough to pull that out of the music that is released. Kane succeeds at evoking that emotion, and getting listeners committed to his music. A true home run artist!

    Maren Morris

    SUPERSTAR...

    SUPERSTAR...

    SUPERSTAR...

Keep repeating that to yourself with the image of Maren Morris in your head. Maren's debut single "My Church" was released in January and is already one of the hottest songs in the country. Her voice is hypnotizing and her lyrics are probably some of the most relatable in the business today.

If Maren's music doesn't hook you in, you're listening to the wrong music genre. In a format where we need more female artists to come to the forefront, Maren leads the way and will for years to come.
