2 Mudslides in the High Park Fire Burn Area in Larimer County
Another round of rain caused at least 2 mudslides in the High Park Fire burn area in Larimer County yesterday.
The first report was approximately 50-yards of debris and rushing water in the 6500-block of Highway 14. The second report was for an approximate 100-foot mudslide in the Buckhorn Canyon in the area of Buckhorn Road and 1 mile west of Stove Prairie Road. No evacuations were ordered. CDOT crews cleared the mudslides Thursday afternoon and were able to stabilize the hillsides A press release said the highway was never fully closed, but one lane was shut down for the safety of the crews clearing debris.
