I am a huge yoga fan, but this is news to me! How have I never heard of Yoga on the Rocks?! Mix the most beautiful venue in Colorado with a relaxing yoga session—what else do you need?

Red Rocks Amphitheatre has been offering this to the folks of Colorado for the past 14 seasons, and this year they’re adding to the event! There are now 14 sunrise classes, and they also offer bilingual classes.

Yoga on the Rocks at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison happens Saturday mornings as the sun rises, and it looks breathtaking. Dates begin in May and continue through June, July, and August.

Classes are  one hour long and the venue asks people to be set up and ready to start at 7 a.m. each Saturday. Attendees should bring their own yoga mat, water bottle and whatever else you need for your practice.

Yoga students can get in early and pre-register through the AXS system on May 6 at 10 a.m. The official on-sale period begins on May 14. Single sessions are $23, and six-packs are $138.

Here are some benefits of yoga

  • Improves flexibility and grows muscles by using your own body weight.
  • Bad posture? Me too. Yoga helps correct the curve in your back!
  • For those who suffer from joint and back pain, yoga is a gentle way to help soothe those aches and pains.
  • Yoga also helps lower stress and anxiety, especially at one of the most zen places on Earth.
  • Busy week? Slow your brain down through breathwork and gentle movement.

So grab tickets before they sell out, because Yoga on the Rocks at Red Rocks Amphitheatre is almost here!

Coloradans First Red Rocks Show

There’s nothing quite like your first time at Red Rocks. After finally seeing a show there myself, I had to ask other Coloradans: what was the concert that started it all for you?
