Chief Master Sgt. Anthony T. Cook, 57, was truly amazed when he heard the news of his promotion.

After moving to Windsor from Greeley, Cook was promoted to the state command chief master sergeant for the Colorado Air National Guard, who will be tasked with overseeing the welfare and professional development of Colorado Air National Guard members.

Cook is the first African American male to fill this position; a historical move and a true honor, he says, for both him and his family.

According to the Greeley Tribune, Cook, while serving as the master sergeant, is also "a claims team manager at State Farm in Greeley, supervising a team of specialists who investigate auto claims." Congratulations to Cook-- we're honored to have you representing Windsor.
