Downed branches and power lines, along with scattered patio cushions, could be the result of a High Wind Warning in effect until 9 p.m. for much of Nothern Colorado.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has Larimer County (under 6,000 feet), Northwest Weld County, Boulder & Jefferson Counties (below 6,000 feet), and west Broomfield County under a High Wind Warning for much of Saturday.

Cities in the warning range include Fort Collins, Loveland, Nunn, Longmont, Hereford, Golden, Boulder, and Lakewood.

NWS states that those in the warning area could see gusts as high as 75 mph.

On Saturday morning the Poudre Fire Authority was on the scene of a downed power line on the northwest side of town at Mercer Drive and West Vine Drive.

Light and high-profiled vehicles should take caution when traveling during the warning.
