Halloween as we know it may be cancelled this year, as health experts weigh in on the COVID-19 risk of traditional holiday celebrations. 

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment says that they will release specific guidelines for Halloween, if they have them. Right now, CDPHE says that you should wear a face covering (no, costume masks don't count), limit groups to less than ten people, gather outside if possible, and maintain social distancing.

The CDC, however, has addressed Halloween specifically, saying trick-or-treating is not a great idea, and neither are parties, corn mazes or haunted houses. Boo. The CDC does have suggestions for safer celebration alternatives here.
