It's a sad time in Fort Collins right now as news of Wes Webb's passing was announced. Webb was a Fort Collins icon and the owner of The Holiday Twin for 40 years, and according to his obituary, was at one time "the largest single owner/operator [of drive-in theaters] in the United States".

The story of his purchase of our Fort Collins landmark is an interesting one: according to The Holiday Twin's Facebook post, "he flew to Fort Collins to begin negotiations for the property, eventually trading his airplane for the theater. Realizing he had just sold his transportation home, he rented a car and drove back to Utah, the proud owner of the Holiday Twin Drive-In Theatre."

Wes Webb was an intrepid businessman, an avid hunter, and a beloved icon in the Fort Collins community, and he will be missed dearly.
