A Weld County man has been arrested for making an explosive device that sent him to the hospital. Kevin Armfield was injured by the device and was arrested after he was released from North Colorado Medical Center.

Weld County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a possible gun-shot victim on July 24th. The victim was reported to have injuries to his chest and leg. When deputies arrived, they discovered that Kevin Armfield had been injured by a home-made explosive device.

The explosive device was detonated in the 36000 block of WCR 43 near Eaton. After he was released from NCMC, Kevin Armfield was taken into custody for Possession, Use, of an Explosive or Incendiary Device.
