Weld Coroner Identifies Burning Car Remains

The Weld County Coroner's Office identified remains found in a burning car in Greeley earlier this month.

Elsie Gay, 57 of Greeley, was identified as the deceased according to a Denver 7 News report. Her identity was determined through scientific means that weren't specified.

Gay's remains had been found after a car fire was extinguished on Aug. 7 near the intersection of Highway 287 and 29th Street

The incident is still being investigated by the Greeley Police Department.
