Valentine's Day is creeping up on us, and I just discovered a really cool way to celebrate your love.

Everybody knows about Colorado's Royal Gorge and the suspension bridge that offers million-dollar views of the valley below. But, you might not be as familiar with the Royal Gorge Route Railroad and their Valentine Train, which could make this year's Valentine's Day one to remember.

What you're gonna get on the Valentine Train is a fabulous sight-seeing excursion through the canyon and lunch or dinner on the train. If you do the lunch option it's salad, french rolls, entree, and dessert. The dinner menu includes slow-roasted prime rib, salmon roasted chicken, Vegetable Napoleon and more.

Their fully stocked bar is open throughout the journey so you can enjoy your favorite wine, microbrew, or cocktail with someone special.

The Valentine Train runs February 11,12, and 13 at 12:30pm and 6:30pm and it looks like they are filling up fast. If you're interested,  you'd be best served to book your trip right away.

It sounds like a fabulous time - but it's quite a commitment of time and money by the time you purchase tickets and make the trip to Canon City and the likelihood of an overnight stay. If you are like me, you're likely going to be spending Valentine's weekend at a local restaurant - and hopefully, you've purchased a card, and maybe a small gift for your significant other.
