Using Coupons On A First Date – Acceptable?

I went on a first date about a month ago that I just found out could have been paid for with a coupon. While I'm ALL for using coupons and saving as much money anywhere and anytime possible, I can't help but feel - what's the word? - undervalued? Cheap? Whatever word it is I'm looking for, I don't feel people should use a coupon, promo code, gift card, etc. to pay for a first date.

Do you think it's acceptable to pay with a coupon/promo code/gift card on a first date? Have you ever paid for a first date in this way, or have you had someone pay for your date with a coupon?
