United Way of Larimer County and Ent Credit Union are teaming up to support affordable child care through the Cars Under Stars: A Tailgate for Child Care fundraiser.

The family-friendly event will take place at 6:30 p.m. on June 10 at the Holiday Twin Drive-In in Fort Collins.

There, guests can enjoy a variety of socially distanced activities, including live music from Musketeer Gripweed, a key-turning ceremony for the Dellenbach Raffle Car, community leadership awards, and a showing of the film Hook.

Ent Credit Union is the event's presenting sponsor, a partnership that allows United Way to continue serving local families in need.

"It will be fun to be back out at the drive-in," said Fred Jacobs, Senior Manager of Media Relations and Sponsorships at Ent Credit Union, in our "Tuned In to NoCo" interview. "We're really looking forward to it. It is a great step back out into normalcy."

General admission and VIP tickets are on sale now here. General tickets include complimentary concession and adult drink vouchers.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Larimer County Child Care Fund, which provides scholarships that help local families access affordable child care. The event will also feature a documentary showcasing this community need.

"The cost of child care in Larimer County exceeds $1,200 per child per month. Our hope and intention is that these funds will go to...make child care more affordable for working families," said Deirdre Sullivan, President and CEO of United Way of Larimer County. "We would just encourage everyone to come out. It's going to be a great time."
