Junior Amelia Solt has been gradually amplifying her game for Thompson Valley High School.

The guard averaged 6.6 points per game as a freshman role player. She increased her scoring to 12.2 last season as a sophomore.

She's now exploded as a scorer during her junior year for the now No. 12-ranked Eagles squad. Solt is averaging 21 points per game and has scored double-digit points in each of Thompson Valley's first dozen games.

Solt scored a career-high 31 points in a 67-61 victory over then-ranked Roosevelt on Feb. 25 to earn this week's Townsquare Media High School MVP honors.

The Eagles have now won eight games in a row. Solt has taken on leadership of the young Eagles squad, which doesn't have any seniors on its roster.
