Each week, Townsquare Media, sponsored by FNBO, will be highlighting a Northern Colorado high school athlete as part of Townsquare Media’s High School MVP program. Each of these athletes has had an outstanding presence on the court or field and has been submitted or selected as our MVP of the week.

After a weekend sweep of Liberty Common's first home conference game and a neutral weekend tournament, Reina Krueger has been selected as our High School MVP for the week!

The junior hitter has spent all three years on varsity for Liberty Common, which is currently ranked 12th in Colorado. The team has been off to a red-hot start, kicking off the season with a 9-0 record.

On the season so far, Krueger has notched 80 kills with a .312 hitting percentage, her best percentage so far in her three years on varsity.

Over the four matches from Thursday through Saturday alone, Krueger garnered 30 kills, which averaged out to 7.5 kills per match. In addition, in Liberty Common's last game of the tournament against Lyons, Krueger also notched three solo blocks when the team as a whole recorded four blocks for the match.

We asked Krueger a few questions in reflection of the season so far and her goals moving forward for her last two seasons. And Reina, we agree, state would be pretty cool, so best of luck to you and the rest of the team!
