Last night, I was crying like a little girl, who just skinned her knee and had her favorite doll taken away. So what prompted the tears? I was watching "Dancing With the Stars". Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough had just completed their freestyle routine that brought everyone in the audience to tears. Millions of American viewers were crying as well. I was one of those who was deeply touched by the performance and the back story.

The dance was dedicated to Bindi's late father, Steve Irwin, who was killed by a stingray in 2006. He was best-known for being "The Crocodile Hunter".  The song they danced to was Leona Lewis' "Footprints in the Sand." I gladly hand over my Guy Card for blubbering during the performance. Watch the video from ABC TV and see if you are not moved.
