The Good Morning Guys 17th Annual 28 Hours of Hope begins at 5 am on Thursday, March 26.  Brian and Todd will stay on the air for 28 consecutive hours to raise money for A Kid's Place in Greeley, Namaqua Center and the Larimer County Child Advocacy Center in Fort Collins. Each of these wonderful agencies works tirelessly each and every day to fight child abuse in Northern Colorado. Here is a quick look at each of the charities that benefit from the 28 Hours of Hope, with videos created by Drew Bankston from Star Painter Productions:

The Child Advocacy Center’s mission is to reduce trauma to children and their families through a comprehensive response to child abuse. Their vision is to eliminate child abuse through prevention and education. Where we cannot, all victims will receive comprehensive and compassionate services from an effective team of professionals.

Voices Carry Child Advocacy Director Mary Beth Swanson explains why every dollar donated to the 28 Hours of Hope is important in this YouTube video.

For more than 35 years, Namaqua Center has provided care, treatment and healing to our most vulnerable children. These children might have lived through unspeakable trauma, may have severe behavior challenges, or might even have a diagnosable emotional disturbance. Each child is unique, and so are their needs. At Namaqua, our family-centered, community-based programs offer families the individualized support they need to raise healthy, successful children.

Namaqua Center Executive Director Cyndi Dodds explains how 28 Hours of Hope dollars can be put to use by their organization in this YouTube video:

Formerly A Kid’s Place, Life Stories provides advocacy and support for abused and neglected children by advancing coordinated investigations, prosecution and victim services. They have two programs: CASA of Weld County (Court Appointed Special Advocates), which recruits, trains and supervises community volunteers to advocate for abused or neglected children in the court system to help secure a permanent, safe, home and the Child Advocacy Center, which provides a child-focused environment to gently support child victims of sexual and physical abuse and their non offending family members.

Life Stories Child and Family Advocacy Executive Director Gwen Schooley explains in this YouTube video how the 28 Hours of Hope helps the formerly named A Kid's Place.

We would like to give a very very special thank you to Drew Bankston from Star Painter Productions in Fort Collins, who created the videos about each charity on this page.
