This Creede Airbnb Is the Perfect Place to View Colorado’s Fall Colors
Temperatures are expected to near 100 degrees in Colorado this week, and trees are still (mostly) green across the state — but these signs of summer won't last for long.
On September 15, Colorado's iconic autumn colors will start to emerge in the high country. While these changing leaves make for an awesome day drive, the best way to truly experience the mountain magic is to stay there.
Thankfully, there is an Airbnb nestled in the San Juan Mountains that is perfect for fall-color viewing. Located near Creede, the Eagle Nest Yurt features a cozy queen bed, a quaint kitchen, heaps of firewood, and a relaxing deck — all against a lush mountainous backdrop.
Although the property offers the luxury of seclusion, you do need to be prepared to stay there. There is no running water or electricity, and you can't access the yurt without a vehicle that has four-wheel drive.
If you think you can stomach the Colorado wilderness, then don't stall on your fall adventure planning. While the property is booked for the 2021 season, there is a chance that guests will cancel — in fact, three days just became available for next week (fall viewing in the San Juans also peaks later this month).
Let's take a virtual tour inside (and outside) the Eagle Nest Yurt:
