Over the weekend my wife and I decided to hit up a pizza chain in Commerce City. Dion's Pizza is a New Mexico pizzeria and has some amazing pizza along with Hatch Green Chile Ranch. But, I digress. This isn't what this article is about. It does have context though. See, the pizzeria is right across from a King Soopers. We decided to head into this particular grocery store. For what, I do not remember. This King Soopers in Commerce City on 104th is unlike any other King Soopers I have ever been to. Why? Because they have a full blown, real deal, liquor department.

Imagine my surprise when walking around and I was able to see vodka, whiskey and full strength beer in the same place I can buy ground beef, cheese and Tide Pods. I was blown away. Of course I had to snap a few photos, because most Coloradoans wouldn't believe such a thing exists, but it certainly does!

The prices were right on par with what a regular run of the mill liquor store would be. So, we could be seeing more of this in Northern Colorado soon. Liquor stores in grocery stores! That could cut down on time spent driving around.
