The Cost of Valentines Day: Do you Really Want Him to Risk Not Being Able to Pay the Utilities?
It's romantic and it works like butter on toast in the movies, but on the big screen money seemingly grows on trees.
THE COST OF VALENTINES DAY:
- Average dozen of Roses is about $60.00
- Dinner for two about $120.00
- A box of Chocolates roughly $25.00/A Gift Basket of Chocolate with a Stuffed Animal $50.00
- A Heart necklace $50.00
Let's see, is that the full package? Pretty close anyway and the grand total is $280.00 and how much are the utilities?
I say appreciate that he loves you (and that she loves you), put the kids to bed (if it applies), make some popcorn or open up a box of Little Debbie and snuggle while watching a favorite movie and most importantly enjoy spending time together knowing you can still pay the utilities.
And just as a side note, did you know that nationally we spend $1.7 Billions dollars on Flowers each Valentine's Day, we spend the most on dinner on Valentine's Day in Miami, Fl and Las Vegas, NV (the least in Los Angeles) and less than 2% of all women like to get lingerie for Valentines Day.
