When I was first getting started in this career in the late 80's and early 90's there was no bigger name in country music than Vince Gill. Vince was topping the charts with every single he released and was, perhaps, the best host the CMA Awards has ever seen. Vince hosted that show from 1992-2003 and was so entertaining. Vince is one of the nicest and classiest artists the format has seen.

Today is a big day for Vince as he celebrates his 59th birthday. He even has a killer new album out as well called "Down to My Last Bad Habit" which you must get if you don't already have it. He still sounds as good today as he did 30 years ago. I was first introduced to Vince in 1987 when he had a hit called "Cinderella" that I just loved and have stayed a fan all the way to his latest single "Take Me Down".

Happy birthday to one of the good guys. Hope you have a special day Vince. Thanks for all the great music and class.
