The 9th Annual 9-11 Flight Crew Memorial Motorcycle Ride Saturday Was Amazing
I have done a lot of rides in my day but I'm pretty sure the ride I did on Saturday afternoon was easily the coolest long ride I have ever done. I liked it so much in fact, that I will never miss another one.
This ride, honors the flight crew and passengers who lost their lives on that fateful September day. 9 years and going strong and I can't wait till next year.
The 100 mile parade (no stopping) ride started at the Colorado National Speedway about 3:00 PM and went through the scenic country roads all the way up to Highway 36. From there it was in to Lyons and then up Highway 7 hitting the Peak to Peak before heading down through Left Hand Canyon. From there it was the scenic country road tour back to CNS for an honorary memorial service.
Keep in mind that this was one continuous ride of over 100 motorcycles. The ride stretched well over a mile and I can't imagine what everyone thought as we rolled by, especially all the motorcycles that passed us going the other way. I can't tell you how many stop signs and lights there were in a 100 miles but it's safe to say, at least a hundred, and the traffic control was second to none the best I have ever seen. Bravo!
You will see me again next year...can't wait.
