The Larimer County Health department is reporting the first hospitalized case of West Nile Virus in Larimer County, as well as infections in two blood donors.
West Nile virus continues to be a concern around northern Colorado, so Larimer County will spray southeast Fort Collins for mosquitoes again on the evening of Aug. 18.
A Loveland man is the 1st confirmed human case of West Nile Virus in Larimer County in 2014. The man began to show symptoms in early August and it’s likely he was infected in late July. He did not need to be hospitalized and has recovered.
