Web Question Of The Day

Next week we will reach the half way point of August. I will be thrilled when it is over. I hate summer with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns. I am a large hairy man who is built for fall and winter temperatures. I cannot stand the heat of summer and it is also our busiest time of the year so I have never been a summer fan.

Cereal is one of my favorite foods. I could eat cereal everyday. I enjoy a good dose of Fruity Pepples orj Peanut Butter Captain Crunch but my favs are Special K, Wheaties, Wheat Chex and Corn Flakes. I have always liked the non sweetened ones the best, which is odd for a chunky dude like me.

There are few things more enjoyable on a beautiful Colorado evening than sitting around a fire and roasting marshmallows with your friends and family. We recently got a fire pit in our back yard for this purpose..oh and I guess the fire is pretty too.

The wait is almost over. The Broncos begin training camp two weeks from Thursday. The defending Super Bowl champs will begin their quest to keep the crown and I can hardly wait. It seems like it takes forever between the final play of the Super Bowl until the first day of training camp.

There are many things I love and many things I hate about election time. I love that we get to pick a new leader and exercise our right to vote that our forefathers fought for. I also hate how ugly the political climate is. It turns us into such an ugly society. It seems like we are not allowed to disagree anymore.

It was on this date in 1989 that the show that I consider the greatest TV sitcom of all time had it's premiere. Seinfeld and it's cast of oddballs first entered our living rooms on this date 27 years ago. There have a been a lot of very funny shows but I have never seen one that was as consistently funny as Seinfeld.

I wrote a blog a little while back about how I cannot stand seeing a sea of cellphones being held up at concerts. There are so many people who would love to be inside and see what you bought a ticket for, yet we stare at the show through a tiny cell phone screen to make sure we have the moment forever and we miss the moment because we are staring at a little screen.

Well here we go. It is the about time for the 4th of July celebrations with all the parting and barbecuing and all the other fun things to do with the 4th. We love the parades and the cookouts and concerts but I must admit, I am not a fan of the fireworks.

The last time I checked, my wife and I had two heads, a few arms and legs and a couple of torsos between the two of us. Why do we need 15 different products to care for these parts in the shower? My shower ledge is more populated than most small nations.

One of the biggest disagreement Todd and I have had over the past nearly 30 years is the pronunciation of the word 'aunt'. I have always said it like it looks...aunt. Todd is one of those who says 'ant'. I don't get it. There is a 'u' there and we should pronounce it.

We are just a few months away from the 2016 presidential election. We now know, unless something very bizarre happens, who the candidates will be. Have you made up your mind about who will get your support? Are you still on the fence? It's about time to decide.

The NBA finals get underway tonight and I am guessing the majority of Denver sports fans could give a hoot. I totally understand that. We have not had a competitive NBA team in several years so it is hard to get excited about a sport that your team is suckful at.
