The next History Brown Bag will be on Thursday, March 27th, at which University of Northern Colorado History Professor Dr. Michael Welsh will speak about the Environmental History of Rocky Mountain National Park and its Connections to Greeley.

The Greeley Historic Preservation Commission offers the FREE 2014 History Brown Bag Series on the 4th Thursday of each month from January through October, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., at the Greeley History Museum, 714 8th Street.

The Fort Collins Museum of Discovery is celebrating its grand opening on Saturday (November 10th). There is a special ceremony at 9:30 a.m. with Fort Collins Mayor and other dignitaries. The Museum will open at 10 a.m.

Brian Gary and I had a chance to visit the  Colorado Model Railroad Museum in Greeley recently. When we walked through the door, we were instantly transformed into 7-year-old boys.  The museum has the largest model train set in America that runs with a real Dispatcher.
