Further investigation revealed the man had reported himself to police dispatch in what may have been an effort to get officers to shoot him.

The Fort Collins Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying two wanted suspects.

Investigators suspect the bogus cop may have stopped other drivers as well, using the same ruse.
