It is mind blowing to me that Conway Twitty has been gone for 25 years. His voice was silenced on this date in 1993 due to an aneurysm. There have been many incredible voices through the years but the voice of Conway Twitty found a way to be relevant no matter what was going on in the music world.

Conway Twitty was one of the all time biggest hit makers in country music history. Conway had a body of work that few will ever rival in ours or any lifetime. He had a way of fitting into whatever decade it was and whatever was popular at the time. Conway fit in everywhere.

Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn made some amazing music together. They both were amazing as solo artists but were just magical when they teamed up. They had many many hits together through the years but one of the most memorable had to be "Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man".

It is hard to believe it has been 22 years since Conway Twitty suddenly died of an abdominal aneurysm at the age of 59. Conway was one of those artists who found a way to fit in and be relevant no matter what decade it was.
