We have all heard of the Elf on the Shelf but have you heard of CAM on the Shelf. It's the Colorado State University version of the mischievous little guy.
My wife, Jenny, has been one of the seamstresses for CSU's mascot for over a decade. Jenny and our friend, Marci Stille, have designed and sewed the outfits that CAM the Ram wears for every single football game.
They have made a number of green jackets over the years, a throwback orange jersery for "Orange Out" games, and even a white lab coat for a special opening of a science building
The game wasn't Colorado State University's only loss today. The 24th CSU mascot died before the CU Buffs beat the CSU Rams 27-24 in overtime in the big game.
CAM the Ram was bred with two ewes. One of those produced triplets, and the other had twins. CAM is now the proud father to three baby girls and two baby boys.
CAM the Ram is celebrating his 61st year as the Colorado State University Mascot. CSU made a video to celebrate CAM through the years. See the K99 connection.
For years now my wife and our friend Marcie have made the jacket that CSU Mascot - CAM The Ram wears. Because of the recent heat wave, CAM's winter jacket was just too hot, so Jenny went to work on a lighter weight outfit. We got pictures of CAM's new duds.
If you would like to have your picture taken with the CSU Mascot CAM The Ram; you can do that on Friday for Free! The Colorado State University Alumni Association is sponsoring the event!
