State Football: 4 Northern Colorado High Schools Still Playing
State playoff football returns this weekend with a collection of four Northern Colorado high schools playing on Friday and Saturday.
- No. 10 seeded Loveland High School kicks off the first round of the Class 4A playoffs against No. 7 Chatfield at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at Trailblazer Stadium in Lakewood. The Indians rallied after a 1-2 start to the season to finish 7-3 in the regular season.
- No. 3 seeded Resurrection Christian of Loveland will take on another Northern Colorado school in No. 6 Platte Valley in the Class 2A quarterfinals at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Severance High School.The Cougars are coming off a 46-14 win over La Junta. The Broncos beat Bennett 38-6.
- No. 8 seeded Highland travels to top-seeded, undefeated Strasburg in the Class 1A quarterfinals. The Huskies beat Hotchkiss 14-7 last week to advance.
