Smashburger is about to open its first-ever location equipped with a full bar right here in Colorado.

Among multiple sources, the Denver Post reported on Wednesday (Mar. 23) that the Denver-based burger chain will be opening its newest location in the Mile High City later this week.

Once opened, it will be officially become the first Smashburger of its kind, serving up much more than just burgers and shakes.

The Denver Post says that, while most Smashburger locations nationwide currently serve alcoholic beverages (i.e; beer) in cans and bottles, the newest Colorado Smashburger location, located at 200 Quebec St. in Lowry Town Center - a shopping mall in Denver -  will be the first in the nation to boast a full bar.

As per a press release from Wednesday, the full bar at the newest Smashburger will offer a selection of draft beer as well as cocktails, including a signature mixed drink called the Blueberry Smash - a blend of Jim Beam whiskey, blackberry puree, lemon sour, mint leaves and angostura bitters.

When Does The New Smashburger Open?

The new Smashburger, which will officially become the burger chain's 24th operating location in the state of Colorado opens this Friday, Mar. 25.

In honor of the restaurant's grand opening, the new Denver Smashburger location will be hosting a celebration on Saturday, April 2 featuring a $10 burger-and-beer special from 4 to 6 p.m.

“This new Smashburger concept sets itself apart from our traditional locations with an elevated dining experience and we are thrilled to bring our first full bar-restaurant to our hometown in Denver,” said Carl Bachmann, president of Smashburger, in a statement according to the Denver Post. 

Once opened, the new Smashburger, located at 200 Quebec St. in Denver, will operate from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
