Hundreds of witches, along with some wizards, sorcerers, and other spookily-clad characters gathered at Colorado's Chatfield Reservoir last Saturday morning for the fourth annual Witch Paddle.

The Witch Paddle is a wicked exhilarating event that combines paddle boarding with the magic of the Halloween season. In 2021, the inaugural Witch Paddle had 80 participants. Now, the enchanting event has grown to a coven of over 350 people coming out to paddle and has solidified its status as a must-attend Halloween celebration in Colorado.

On October 12, participants launched from Chatfield's Swim Beach at 9 a.m. as spectators watched along the shoreline. Later in the afternoon, a costume contest took place, with the top four people taking home fun prizes. Besides dressing up, many participants decorated their boards with spooky accessories like black cats and cauldrons. Multiple vendors, including an oracle reader, were on-site to be a part of the festivities too.
