As a family and community continue to deal with the lose of Tyler Comegy, please show your support and grace today. As a parent, a sibling, an aunt and uncle as grandparents and cousins and more; this is an unspeakable tragedy that one would never wish on an enemy. There is no preparation for this kind of lose, one is completely unprepared emotionally and in many cases financially. Please join family and friends today; a benefit for Tyler Comegys,  a time for remembering, raising money and most importantly loving and laughing together for Tyler. (I'm sure if he could he would personally dry everyone's tears and give them his tender smile)

Many of the people that I know are worrying about their parents these days, their comfort and safety, even their internment. A parent typically thinks about their children surviving after they pass on. Maybe setting them up with a little money and definitely arranging for each child to have something that spoke to them about their relationship with their parents. A death of a child catches you in between paychecks, in between jobs, lost, lonely and scared. ( and that is all on top of the actual shock and grief of losing your child)

Please come out for a night of good memories of Tyler and rejoice in all that he offered to those around him. This is especially sad for me as he and about 10 other young people I know through my Colton, including Colton knew Tyler and befriended him. It too doesn't help that Tyler and his girlfriend died very similarly to the way my Ashley and Colton died just a year and a half ago.

The fundraiser to assist the family will be held on TODAY at the VFW in Ault beginning at 5:30pm. There will be a dinner and silent auction from 5:30p-7p followed by a live auction at 7p and then dancing with a live band.

Tyler Comegys was living his dream of being a professional bull riding and was set to leave for his first Bull Riding Rodeo in Oklahoma. Tyler and his girlfriend were on their to a stock contractor between Fort Lupton and Platteville when the accident took place on Thursday November 21st. 18 year old Comegys and his 20 year old girlfriend, Lindsey Mockerman were taken to North Colorado Medical Center with life threatening injuries. They both died Friday.
