When you think about the music scene in Fort Collins, two names come to mind... Hodi's (the Starlight) and the Aggie. Now one of the best known and loved music venues in the city, the Aggie, is taking some major heat because an internationally known reggae band dropped some harsh claims.

The English Beat wrote on their Facebook page:

SHE WAS CHASED AND DRAGGED OUT OF THERE BY HER HAIR AND CLOTHES BY 4 SECURITY MEN, FOR NOT HAVING A WRISTBAND THAT NO ONE IN THE BAND HAD BEEN GIVEN OR TOLD ABOUT!!! THEN PARTIALLY STRIPPED AND FORCED TO LIE DOWN ON A FREEZING WET SIDEWALK, UNTIL SHE WAS ARRESTED!!! DESPITE HER TELLING THEM AT EVERY POINT THAT SHE WAS OFFICIALLY WITH THE BAND, ON TOUR FOR 6 YEARS, NO ONE EVER CHECKED WITH OUR STAFF TO SEE THAT HER STORY WAS TRUE, WHILE WE FINISHED A GREAT SHOW ONSTAGE.

The band hasn't stopped bashing the Ft. Collins club either. They continue to point out negative press and feedback that the Aggie has received on their Facebook page.

Aggie Theatre owner Scoo Leary told the Coloradoan "Kelli was removed from the venue because she repeatedly refused to get a wristband, and then ran away from security staff when confronted."

Fort Collins police have no record of an arrest or citation.
