Authorities were notified late Sunday that a river raft had overturned.

In a press release issued Monday, the Larimer County Sheriff's Office got the news of the distressed raft just before 8 p.m. near mile marker 95 on Highway 14 West of Fort Collins.

Several rafters were said to be thrown from the raft. An unidentified, unresponsive woman was pulled from the river and received cardio pulmonary resuscitation life-saving efforts. Despite all attempts to save her life, the 29 year-old woman did not survive. All rafters were wearing protective gear.

The Larimer County Sheriff's Office is reminding all potential rafters and river goers to use extreme caution. Due to the current water conditions, all activities on the river are dangerous.
