Creepy clowns have been terrorizing Northern Colorado for the past month ever since a social media threat was made targeting Northridge High School in Greeley. Many discredited the threats after Greeley police were able to find the poster, until a creepy clown was spotted in downtown Greeley by a resident driving by.

Poudre High School also was threatened, causing Fort Collins Police to take action and investigate the threats.  Since then, however, the threats have ceased in Northern Colorado.

TheBitBag.com describing a 'purge' that was discovered by a Facebook page titled 'Clown Hunters'. They urge the public to stay inside the night before Halloween because the clowns are planning their own purge.

The threats are causing hysteria on Twitter and Facebook, and Denver is one of the cities told to be careful on this night.  While reports of this have not been confirmed, it's probably a good idea to be careful that weekend no matter what as well as to stay observant-- and of course, alert local police forces if you see anything suspicious.
