On the heels of COVID-19 restrictions easing across Colorado and Larimer County, comes word that the bar/restaurant is closed for now.

Sports Station in Downtown Loveland announced on April 18, 2021, via their Facebook page that one of their staff members tested positive for COVID-19. For the safety of their staff and their customers, they'll be closed until further notice.

Sports Station has been around for many years at 4th Street and Railroad in Downtown; The pandemic, like many small businesses, hit them hard with closures and restrictions.

Sports Station has long been a great place for teams to gather after playing softball or baseball, etc.

Living in Downtown Loveland, I took advantage of pickups, delivery, and how I could get a beer 'to-go' while they were not allowed to have any customers inside.

My first job was at Sports Station, back when it was called The Depot. I remember being downstairs for the interview, when a train went by, shaking plates that were on a nearby shelf. I said, 'I guess that's what happens when you're The Depot..'  I worked there for about six months, as I recall.
